Gifts for Your Wedding Party

When planning a wedding there are many different aspects to think about and plan for; from the bigger things such as the venue and catering to photography and entertainment, right down to the little things such as a table seating plan and accommodation for the wedding night. An aspect that is relatively easy to sort out and come late in the planning stage is organising gifts for your wedding party.

It is customary to give flowers to both the mother of the bride and groom to say thank you for all they have done for you during your life. Whether you get the rest of your wedding party gifts is a personal choice and can depend on the number of people you have as bridesmaids and ushers or your budget. For the bridesmaids you can get them a gift which they can use during your big day and this could be gold or silver earrings, depending on what will match their dresses. This way you have given them a gift and the bridesmaids will be wearing matching jewellery for your photos. You could also do a similar thing for the best man and ushers and buy them cufflinks which they can wear. There are many options available including sensible ones that match or comedy ones that say ‘Best Man’ or ‘Usher’. If this doesn't sound like something you would do then you could always just supply them with a bottle of their favourite drink but maybe make sure they save it till after the ceremony.

Silver Wedding Rings
There are also the little members of the wedding party to consider, such as any flower girls or page boys and whilst jewellery may not be suitable for them, there are many other options such as teddy bears which they could keep as a memento to remember their role in your wedding.

You may also what to treat your other half on your wedding day and it is quite common for the bride and groom to buy each other gifts which they will receive on the morning of the wedding. Jewellery is a good option here and if the bride hasn’t already got wedding jewellery then the groom could buy a nice silver necklace or silver earrings if he is confident in buying the right style of jewellery for his soon to be wife.
As with all aspects of organising a wedding, remember to stay calm and seek help from other family member or friends or help from people who are experts in their field to offer you advice.
